1. Personally, I liked our video despite the time we had to work on it. I wished we could have dedicated more time to it but all in all it came out really good especially after hearing the comments made by the class. I thought that our choice of music was really good and especially in the OMISOKA commercial because it added a very serene sort of vibe to the whole video. As for the pictures, i agree with Cody, it added a nice contrats and i think it engulfed our audience more into the video. However, our edits were not the best and i wish we could have perfected them more and an example is when you catch me and estefania off guard in the Iroquois Ceremony video around half way through. In terms of creativity i also think it was pretty good and liked how me and my partners chemistry showed because it sounded like we were having a conversation as opposed to reading a script.
2. Something i really liked was in Cristables video, her music. i thought the music was really good and it brought a very positive and up feeling to her video that i think would have been nice to incorporate in our video. I also liked that people brought props to their video and i felt thsat that emphasized the creativity of their video and if we were to have done that then our message would have come out more clearly.
3. I specifically, chose the music for both videos with consent of estefania, of course, but i was the one in charge of getting the music and seeing what was needed and which one would fit more accurately depending on the flow of our video.
4. I think we did a really good job oif working toghether because we pretty much seperated the video and we each did half of the work at all times. We also agreed on about everything all the time. However my partner helped me with the greenscreen because i had forgotten some things but she remnindeed me how tyo do them and thats how we pulled through. Actually, i have to admit that she did almost all the editing and the greenscreen editing too. But by her doing that she showed me and refreshed my memory on how to perform the edits and the greenscreen.
5. I think that we would p[ractice our script more to the point where we could memorize it, that way we would not have to edit or cut any parts of the script and thus it would not be evident that we did cuts and we would not be jumping around in the video. I think this would also allow more flow to the video and add to its smoothness. Also, i would have liked to experiment more with the titles and do one in after effects because i really liked how Kayla did their title and it added to the fun of this project. Not only that but it would give us more experience on using after effects and it would go nicely along, complimentary to the video.

Green screen Workshops
What a green screen is basically having a green background and video taping someone. Then once that is done the video is brought to premiere after effects and edited and can insert a background, any of your choice, to make it seem like you are at another place.
We need to make sure that there are no wrinkles and shadows on the green screen because that will create a problem when the video is being edited.
Shadows may get in the way of editing and may make the objects blurry and unclear.
I think it was easier using After Effects because it had some cool features. However, i am still relatively new to this new program but i hope to learn more about it as the next semester comes rolling around. Nonetheless, it was a really good experience using and doing this workshop because i got new experiences and learned something new.

Cyberbullying/ Sexting Videos: Reflections on the Product and the Process
1. I made several realizations about cyberbullying while completing this project. First, i learned that sadly and unfortunately many people dont know the consequences and effects of cyberbullying including adults. I learned that some people just know the basics of what it is but dint really know what the school can do to intervene and the legal consequences that follow. Also, it was quite surprising the rates of how people were being cyberbullied. I knew it was around and stuff and people had dealt with it but nowhere, did i know that the rates were that high.
2. To begin with our video we needed to conduct a lot of research of the topic itself and became well acquainted with the subject so we could know fairly well on the subject. What was very helpful was the worksheets we did and the notes we took in class of cyberbullying. Also, we had to conduct some research on our own but it was all good because we cited it. One other thing that we did was actually go around and asked people on cyberbullying just to see what kind of feedback we had and in what things we coincided.
3. So what we did in order to start putting out storyboards together was actually just brainstorm on a separate piece of paper all of our ideas. Then what we did we went and analyzed them and thought of how we could possibly project the message based on the ideas we had and even eliminated some that we thought were irrelevant. I thought that the storyboard did help us because it provided us with a real loose rough draft of our video but at least we had a rough picture of the direction we wanted to go and how we were going to go about to produce it. However i do want to mention that we didn't follow it very precisely because we were very flexible with it and ended up adding somethings and not adding other things as in regards to interviews and information. After we had our storyboard more or less completed we set about to start some filming and seeing the shots we had to deal with and just kind of went with the flow as opposed to sticking to a rigid schedule and outline. Once we had what we did, we put together our final draft and we inserted a lot of time into it because we went through the rough draft and added all of the comments and tips given to us during that section.
4. During the filming of the video i really took into heart what we did in the workshops. I felt like they were really helpful in accomplishing our filming for our project. I learned how to incorporate the different angles and the effects that it would create on the subjects. One in particular that i was really content with was the one we filmed of Perla sitting down. I do have to mention that i learned on what it is to film something at a two thirds angles. Not only that but i think i learned a little more on how to convey the message or the tone better by establishing a good background not just any random one.
5. We organized the editing the film in half. What we decided was first to divide the credits with Lizzy and Denise and Liz and I would work on the introduction. Then we each started working back words until we met at the middle point. Also we had people being the ones looking up information and verifying so at all times we had someone doing something and never was there one that didn't do anything or was sitting around doing nothing. Some of the problems were getting the clips to be cut off at a specif point where it wouldn't jump at the end of the clip and also having a good starting point and with which words to start their interviews. I think it was the fact that we could not find the perfect point where to cut off Francisco's ending part without having another more consistent transition, which is why we decided to keep them more or less the same because it made it harder to block out the imperfections of the clips. Also, the fact that the cameras had different frame sizes so it looked kind of awkward at times but it was not something totally noticeable. I came in after class to work on the edits and try to make them as accurate as possible. Also i did a lot in the sound editing, in fact i did most of it because i was able to master it the best from the group and that was my job. I realized the importance of having copyright friendly music and sound effects and the consequences of not doing that the proper way. I also learned that it was important to site EVERYTHING we had and give credit to the sources we used because obviously we did not know everything we stated in the video.
Getting Feedback
I liked the feedback of adding more professional clips because it opened my eyes on what the audience wanted to see in the video aside from great graphics. I liked getting feedback because it was helpful and it added improvement to my video to make it better and improve it.
Access Yourself
I think i did well in facilitating the jobs and making sure everybody stayed on task without having to be mean or anything. One thing that we could have worked better on was our communication outside of class because it was hard to get of hold of each other after school to work on the project so maybe next time we could get each others phone numbers.
Describe Your Group Progress
I think in general our group was among the best because we all managed to work together really well. Even when someone was missing we managed to be able to take over and improvise and also they were able to meet up what they missed so it wasn't just one or two people doing the project ever. I felt that our cooperation really showed in the outcome of the video and was portrayed by the quality if it. I was really happy with my group.
Reflect on the Assignment
I really liked the pre research we did before we started our video that way we knew what we were getting ourselves into. Also i liked how we had the workshops so we could learn how to use Premiere Pro and how to incorporate the techniques into our project. One thing i think would be better would be to do the workshops before we actually start the video that way we know before hand how to work things and we don't have to deal with the stress of doing the video deadlines and the workshops projects at the same time.

Video #2
I must admit that i felt this video was really good. Since the very beginning there was something that really had me into the video i was watching and i must say that i never really lost focus on it, there was always something new that kept my attention fixed on the screen. First of all, what i really liked was the opening sound and the title opening on the typing of the actual word of cyber bullying. I think the combination of the opening scene and the music really provided a good introduction into the video. Another thing that i thought was awesome and i wish i could have added onto my video was the shot they got of a person walking down the hall. I felt like that shot was really well done and i give them props for that. Again i liked the mixture of that scene with the music because it provided a depressing tone to the video which really emphasized the the seriousness of the message of the video. I also felt that they provided a lot of facts and information through out the whole video and cited them in their bibliography which i thought added to the credibility of the video and made it more likely to be watched by a variety of audiences and also appealed to many because of the comical aspect that Bree added in the video but yet it wasn't meant to be funny, we just thought it was funny because we knew it was Bree, but in the end it was a very positive and good detail to add to the video.
Video #1
What I really liked about this video was the opening scene and title. I thought it was very teen like and oriented because i felt that a lot of teens could relate to it but also it included the social networks as a whole which emphasized this video message which is not only geared towards teens but also towards adults. I liked the collage because right away it got my attention and the fact that that i could connect to them was really good. Also, something i really enjoyed was the opening scene where Cristabel was filmed nodding her head no. I thought that this was very effective because it really expressed and reiterated the message that cyber bullying was bad. Actually, i feel that it set the stage on their positions towards cyber bullying even before they had said anything. One other thing that i really liked was the fact that they started their video with professionals speaking on the subject which added to the seriousness of the video and i believe that the choice of people to interview were really good because it felt there was a diverse type of people chosen. By this, i mean it wasn't all teachers or counselors so it added to people interest level because they got to hear from different people.

Cyberbullying: What You Need To Know
Some parts that I am really proud of in the video is how our video came along. I really liked our music scheme and how it engaged the audience into our video. I was also really proud of how we managed to bring down and raise the volume depending on the situation in where our video was at, whether it was at interviews or when we had important information. Last i was glad of the graphics we were able to find on the title templates and how we were able to put it together by keeping it consistent with the video flow.
Some of the comments that i thought were really helpful were the ones given by Dr. A on separating the bullets to different slides because it added importance to each bullet, also it allowed the audience to see them longer and provided a more personal connection with the bullet point and the audience. Also i appreciated when the class let us know that we could have filmed one more professional adult for the video and had a m ore diverse student body but in the end it was hard to add any of that but i was still grateful for the comments of advice that i will definitely take in consideration for future videos.
Some changes was that i lingered the video on Denese's face when she was depressed to make the audience more aware of the serious tone that we wanted to express. Also, we made the bullets much longer so you could read them and made them individual so that it would be easier to see.
We would definitely get some more filming done on another professional adult or someone of the like so that we can add him in the video. Also maybe provide a more diverse amount of people.
If i could do something differently it would be to try and think of different shots and maybe more dramatic ones too like the one where Cody was waling down the hall.
I understood what it was to establish a mood and how i could manipulate that with shot types, camera angles, music, and graphics. In the end i was really proud of our video and liked the overall appeal of the class. Not only that, but now i have the assurance of showing other people an actual video that i made and show them the negative aspects of cyber bullying that people don't know or are unaware of.

Cyberbullying Rough Draft Reflection
Reflection:
Well, i must be honest, i was really happy with the turn out of the video because we really put in a lot of dedication, time, and effort. However I am fully aware of the fact that there are some things missing and or some things that we can change to make it better. For example, I think that we could have had a little more variety in people and added more to the section of, “who to go to.” However, because of time constraints we may not be able to do so but will sure try to change as much as possible to make it better and put maybe more information and key points because it seemed like everyone really liked how we did those. I was really happy with how people liked the way our flow was accommodated and I think everybody came to an agreement that the graphics were good. Some where I know we can fix is in the transitions. Although they are cool to see and look really nice on the video, sometimes they can be a little distracting and may diverge the attention of the audience from the actual video to the transitions. Another thing that Dr. Atcherman suggested was making the credits a little longer and after I went back to see the video one more time I agreed that at some points it moves a little too fast and since it’s the ending of the video it is ok to add a little more length to it, plus it won’t change the overall effect of the video and it won’t make too much of a difference on the length of the video. Another thing where we will try to improve is where Denise is alone and we want to make the scene more dramatic to really captivate the audience further and be able to stimulate emotional feelings in the audience. Also I did want to comment on the fact that PUBLICALLY was not spelled wrong and that is how you spell it. But thanks for all the suggestions and now we are really determined to make this a better video. Thanks! (:

title2overlay_navarro
This is an example of a Lower Thirds title, which means that a text bock opens up in the middle of your video clip. You might use this kind of title when trying to capture something or even to add a caption to a specific place in the video. I learned that this text box that appears during the video is used and placed at the lower one third position of the frame, hence the name Lower Thirds. It is different because this is not an introductory title and is more of a small detail that can be used in the video. It is different because it only pops up for small amounts of time.
titletemplate_navarro
This is an example of a template title, which means that you can use a specific and creative template to add a title anywhere in your clip whether its in the beginning or in between the clip. You might use this kind of title when trying to draw attention to your clip and simply adding creativity and bringing it more alive! I learned that this clip is a little harder to make, or at least thats how i felt, because there were more options involved with it such as selecting the actaul template that will fit with what you are trying to do with the video clip. However at the same time it was more fun because i got to be more artisitic with my project and make it more of me as opposed to just having to do it for a grade.
Titles Workshop
This is an example of a regular title, which means that this is the title that would normally be used at the beginning of a video clip . You might use this kind of title when introducing a video or even at the end like for the credits. I learned that each title has a unique charactersitic that serves its own purpose such as this title because it is more general and is the simplest title to use and make.

Extracting Workshop
A simple cut in the timeline means that you are deleting a clip and it is NOT sliding over. When you cut, the other clips in the timeline they are deleted from the timeline.
A ripple edit is when you delete a clip from the timeline but at the same time, you are sliding the remaining clips over to make the whole video flow. You do this by right clicking on the clip you want to delete and instead of hitting 'cut' you hit 'ripple edit' in order to slide all the other clips back. When you ripple delete, the other clips to the right of the deleted clip and are slided to come right after the preceding clips without leaving a gap.
Lifting and extracting are two ways to cut and delete at one time. To do this, you set an in and an out point of the portion you want to delete in the Program Panel and then depending on what you want to do, click lift or extract which is found on the lower right corner of the Program Panel. Lifting is like cutting or deleting a clip only, while extracting is like the ripple edit option, in terms of what happens to the other clips in the timeline.
This is an example of an extract edit. I decided to ripple edit the two clips where I did because it added consistency and flow to the video as a whole because there were some parts where the horse was doing nothing and we felt that those parts were unnecessary in the video. Also, with the way we did it we added to the climax of the whole video.

Insert Edit
This is an example of an insert edit. An insert edit places a clip in between another one while keeping the other clip the same length and in this edit, you do not cut off any part of the original clip, you simply place the new one in between the original one. To do this, you simply drag the new edited clip, while pressing “ctrl” on to the spot where you feel is the best place to put the clip so that it may split the original clip in two but not exactly delete any portion of it. I decided to insert the 2nd clip where I did because I felt that, there it would be a perfect place because this is where the horse is running around the hurtle and by inserting the clip here it would show her expression and also I liked the effect of the horse going in around the hurtle and then having the second clip in position, and then transitioning into the horse going out around from the hurtle into the climax of the clip, or when the horse jumps the actual hurtle. I feel that an insert is used to keep all the action of an original clip and also adding new information or clips to that already. Maybe there’s a project with a lot of information that you don’t want to delete or overlay, then an insert edit would be the one to adhere too because it would keep your original clip plus a few more facts. An insert is different than an overlay because it simply gets inserted in the middle of a clip instead of deleting a part of it.
Overlay Edit
This is an example of an overlay edit. An overlay edit places a clip over another one while cutting off the other clip as well and placing the new clip on top of it. To do this, you simply drag the new edited clip on to the spot where you feel is the best place to put the clip so that it may overlay the original clip already found in the timeline. I decided to overlay the 2nd clip where I did because I felt that, there it would cut off the part where the horse hides behind the hurtles because I reasoned that either way the horse would not be showing so it would be the perfect place to overlay the second clip. I feel that an overlay is used to delete unimportant parts in a clip and replace them with a more significant or reasonable clip, so as to bring the audience more into the clip. Also i think it would add some differentiation instead of the clip being monotone showing the same thing. An overlay is different than an insert because it deletes a portion from the original clip by the second clip and would probably be used to block out an unimportant scene with a more interesting one.

Baler Interviews
Reflection:
I think I am getting better at editing the video clips and I am able to manipulate better the program so I can get my work done. I feel like I did a good job at the credits because it was a very unique font and I thought it managed to grasp the attention of the audience. I wish we were able to somehow add music or sound effects to the video because I think that would have been really cool and would have added a more interesting effect to the overall quality for the video. On my project I need to remember to add the title because I usually forget to do so.
One way I helped my partner was by cooperating and alternating in working on the project that way we both were able to work on it and learn from the experience. My partner helped me by adding in the title because I had forgotten where to go. On this project I gained a better idea on how film editing really works and how it is crucial to the set in and set out points. Something I would really like to learn is somehow add music to it to make it better and more interesting.

Introduction Video
Reflection:
What I've learned about this video is how to set the start and end points for the video clip. Also, how to make titles at the beginning of the clip. I liked how I was able to manipulate things and I'm glad that it was not as difficult as I expected it to be. Hopefully, next time I will be able to have better sound quality. My partner helped me by shopwing me how to impport the videos and I helped her by showing her how to edit them. I think the visuals and the powerpoint as well as my own experimentation helped me decipher Premiere Pro. Tha challenges were uploading and exporting the file to youtube.
NOTE: My video was not able to imnport on to Premiere Pro, so we both did Elissa Abonce's video clip and posted them in our blogs.

Patience
The message of this video is to have patience even in the situations where you feel very angry and upset because in the end, what is done is already done so the best thing is to move on and fix it as opposed to getting upset. Here the filmmaker was very specific at choosing angles because it outlined the seriousness of the situation. Also, the innocence of the child's face helped convey the message much more efficiently.
